Terms of use

By downloading, installing or using Panda Budget (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Panda Budget is a personal and family envelope budgeting app. It helps you plan budgets, record spending, manage income and share a household budget with people you invite. It does not connect to bank accounts or make payments on your behalf.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Panda Budget. You can register with email and password, Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for providing accurate information.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose
• try to access other people’s data
• reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app
• transmit malicious code or interfere with the service
• create multiple accounts to get around free-plan limits

4. Premium subscriptions and free trial

Panda Budget offers optional Premium subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly, that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store.

• Eligible new subscribers get a 1-month free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your App Store account is charged.
• Payment is charged to your App Store account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We do not provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

Free accounts include a limited monthly number of smart suggestions and “Can I Buy This?” checks, as shown in the app.

5. Households and shared budgets

When you create or join a household, its shared envelopes, transactions and income are visible to every member. Only invite people you trust. We are not responsible for how other members use shared data.

6. Smart suggestions

Smart suggestions and “Can I Buy This?” results are automated estimates to help you plan. They can be wrong, and they are not financial, legal or tax advice. You decide how to categorize purchases and whether to buy something.

7. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our app privacy policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Panda Budget is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. The app is a budgeting tool and does not provide financial advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your data as described in the privacy policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; cancel it in your App Store settings first.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
